Sharon Wilkerson – Practice Administrator, Dental Assistant
Sharon joined our team in 2009 with almost 40 years of experience in dentistry. She received her BS degree from the University of Maryland – Baltimore County. Sharon’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Dental Office Managers and the Dental Assisting National Board. She loves the challenge of managing a thriving dental practice, and she meets this challenge head on! Sharon and her husband of nine years, Sam, have two children. In her spare time, Sharon likes to read, garden, travel, and invest in real estate. You might also find her enjoying a good meal, a good glass of wine, or riding her Harley.
Bobbie Resnick – Administrative Assistant
Bobbie joined Beam Bright Dental in 2000. She uses her outstanding organization skills to keep the dentists on time and the patients happy! Bobbie loves our family atmosphere, and she’s proud of the quality work that we do. Married to Marty for 42 years, Bobbie has two children, three grandchildren and a new puppy named Riley. When not assisting our team, Bobbie likes to travel, knit, and take cruises.
Wendy Gordon – Dental Hygienist
Wendy began her dental career 35 years ago and joined Beam Bright Dental in 1980. She received an associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Temple University and a bachelor’s degree in general studies from American University. Wendy likes the people she works with – our patients and our team. She appreciates the difference quality dental care makes in the life of an individual. Along with her husband of 30 years, Wendy has two children and a dog. Wendy’s interests include skiing, traveling, and playing golf.
Tawny Young – Dental Assistant
Tawny joined our Bethesda dental office in 2011, bringing with her 20 years of experience as a dental assistant. While living in Wisconsin, she completed programs in dental assisting, oral hygiene, and orthodontics at the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). She loves seeing how our patients respond to our beautiful office, and to the compassionate care they receive from our team. When she’s not helping us create great smiles, Tawny loves painting, kickball, spending time with her family, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. She lives with her boyfriend, their four children, and their German Shepherd.
Mandana Ahaneen-Etessami – Dental Hygienist
Mandy has been helping us improve smiles since 2012, but brings with her more than 24 years of experience as a dental hygienist. What’s more, she’s a member of the ADHA and has a BS in dental hygiene and an MGA in healthcare administration. Every day, she’s using her education and experience with patients to help us deliver great care to patients from Bethesda and beyond. Mandy’s hobbies include biking, hiking, weight training, and group exercise classes. She also loves to read, travel, and spend time with her teenage daughter and son.
Virginia Quan, Dental Assistant
As one of our dental assistants, Virginia has been a part of the dental industry for three years. She loves how organized and well-coordinated our office is, just as she loves having the opportunity to overcome challenges and to grow every day with such a great team as ours. As an undergraduate, Virginia studied studio art, and in her spare time she loves painting, sewing, baking, and playing computer games.
